Introducing Young Poets From The Mountains of China

Introducing Young Poets From The Mountains of China
Last Update: November 06, 2019

For all you avid readers worldwide a heads up on China's celebrations and continued revelations on sharing and supporting reading, studies, and superb libraries!

There is a drive to Promote Young Children in impoverished areas of China who are writing poems showing their skills and application to get involved,

Stalls have been set up in spacious Metro stations, with several dispensing machines on the walls, [and resident hosts to explain the background of this promotion and its goals ]
The dispensers issue poems that were written by these children,
What you get is a foot-long printout of short cute and endearing but smart poems when you contribute 1RMB.
Please follow this cause if you poss no pressure, via my website in a few days a post will emerge
This is a practical and meaningful approach to raising funds through the effort and participation of the children.
Shenzhen is now entering the reading month, with aged traditional historic books in unprotected glass stalls to be viewed and others to read.
The interest it is receiving is astonishing from young and old.
The book city areas and designated locations are ready to receive everyone.
also, like the flower show which is also in tandem at this time,

Thanks for your time reading this blog

RECOVERING AFTER AN UNUSUAL SICKNESS, and park actiities in china

RECOVERING AFTER AN UNUSUAL SICKNESS

48hrs ago I was laid up feeling like the flu but not actually the same symptoms, no sneezing, runny nose or headaches, however, I had hot and cold rushes, feeling of weakness all over and lethargy,

ok ok you could on that basis state some flu symptoms were evident, anyway feeling a little sprite yesterday I decided to go out and stretch my legs in the park across the road, great day and nice breeze, why not! go ready and made my way 5mins walk to the park started off a gently walk then sometime later a gently jog,

I arrived at the Kite Square and service machines, benches, and a few people around, settled down to some stomach crunches again keeping it gentle and slow, felt good and continued on to a few light pull-ups and stretches, side bends and back home, On reaching for the keys to my astonishment they were gone? legged it, disappeared!

SHIT now how to get in, no mobile or other contact devices to get hold of anyone else, so back to the park, I wandered covering the area I was previously, nothing was found, disgruntled but remaining optimistic I sought out the park administrators, explaining what happened leaving my wechat and phone number in a hope they would get back to me with some positive news at least a few hours later, no chance that was not the case,

I wandered to the nearby social area and shops to sit and consider my next decision and plan.
A few mins later this girl comes running over to me saying hey remember me from TT cafe? to which I didn't but decided to hear more, she spoke of TEFL course and acceptance to UK Leeds university January 2020, however, that her scores on TEFL examination was not as expected on the Oral aspect, this was odd as I was dealing with my situation which to me was mega important.

So trying to end this conversation hastily and moving on She then blurted out that her recent news was of her mum's cancer discovery and she was suddenly watery eyed and emotional- making me more confused and uncomfortable,
I was caught off guard, like a cat on a hot tin roof, unprepared nothing to really raise the game on that, WTF was happening today I thought inwardly, is this what my day is going to be a succession of unwanted situations and people?

Anyway I did my best to comfort her with kind words and an optimist view of how things may not be as bad with modern medicines in this area of the topic, bid farewell and pressed on to another location, a few mins later I found a siting auditorium and quickly got as comfortable as I could, began assessing my situation again,

Not much longer and after coming into a plan of action I was ready to go and collect my things, getting to my feet, I noticed a mobile phone sitting without an owner? it was feet from me, I looked around couldn't see a returning person, decided to ask in Chinese '' ni shi de shou jie ma? [Is this your mobile?] To others and getting a ''Bu shi'' [not mine],  sitting around about it and decided to leave.
Enough was enough for one day thank you.

Stayed out all day without money or a phone to buy food, so luckily KFC provided free flowing hot water on tap from an Urn, this I decided I needed even if I was to last the whole day until 7pm when I can go back home to my flatmate after they were back home would at least keep the thirst away and some hunger pangs, until 4pm it did, then Mr hunger pangs started to rear its f**king ugly head, I was starving,.

And what was worst is I was in KFC of all places,? Crispy chicking and pie smell exuding in every area of the dining area, it was like a bloody gauntlet and the trial, The decision to leave was now imperative, I got up and left at 6:30pm return home and food glorious food again

Never again such foolishness, hat's a promise to myself, carry a mobile always and check my damn keys at every given opportunity when outside and in my pocket! a lesson well learned.

Nantou Ancient City & Museum

I was invited to see some revealing history of Shenzhen, China,
Nantou Ancient City & Museum, one I had no idea of previously, all within the confines of the city and 30 mins metro rides, from the moment of arriving at the front gate I had a feeling of then Unexpected
A historic village and battlement,
leading to a park and more,
it was walking back in time, the locals were detached from the Shenzhen modern lifestyle, still this look of deep curiosity to new faces and stayed lifestyle and comfy zone. Almost like ''china town'' a china very peculiar yet fascinating at the same time.
These photos collected here, some depicting the QING and Han Dynasty Period of Chinese History

Notarized and concluded Documents below: in Chinese Hanzi and English of course.

Nantou City - 4 Gates & Lifestyle

There are Four Gates, entrances or access points to this Ancient Historic City, only one Gate remains Intact, then others have been corroded and neglected in th past, only the South gate remains, so perhaps not an important aspect of the society of shenzhen of the modern generation, however the Government have put efforts to regain its values and much work is now in place to rejuvenate as i understand.

Chinese National Holiday 70th PRC

Chinese National Holiday

Chinese National Holiday 70th PRC Anniversary Exodus To Home Towns
Has a somewhat more driven passion this year in Shenzhen, what with the recent ”Moon Discovery News” and the patriotism of the communistic societies 70th Celebrations of then PRC [people’s republic of china], there is a tendency now to be ”INTO” everything with invigorated passion and ”full on” confidence.

National Party Live Action

Ceremony from Beijing being watched by just about everyone from everywhere around the country and here in Shenzhen large screen TV’s in Shopping Mall, Libraries, Restaurants, Social Areas and Parks.
That emanate from the buildings rigged up to support Computerized Lighting LED. Laser and 3D effects Graphics. Then range of displays depicts the beginning of Shenzhen, its History and current achievements and all that entails.

Family Visits to Shenzhen

It appears also that this City has become the focus of families for attractions and holiday breaks on this special Holiday period. Previously Every worker and family member’s in Shenzhen would return to their respective home town tto enjoy the benefits and traditions of Local life, so we can see that the turn of events is now in reverse and then emphasis is on come to the big city and enjoy the modern and wealth of Lifestyle and shopping
The National holiday will be first of this new change as the next significant holiday is Labor Day event end of January as the lunar calendar permits.
Dare i say that from discussions this is the way froward fro families allowing them some excitement in their otherwise low keyed existence back home.

Official Holiday Things to Do

This National week off work will be totally utilized with socializing, park events, kite flying, boating and mountain climbing as there are several notable ones in Shenzhen, Lianhua Cun – Wutong Shan – Bei han Shan – Nanshan – and more.
Places like Family event locations Windows of the World, Happy Valley, Cultural Village, Shenzhen wan, hong shuo ling promenade, Xili Zoo, Da meisha, Sha meisha, and OCT harbor.

Volume of People

Already the throng of people have appeared and queued for entry all imbued with flag stickers on faces or carrying miniature in their hands. This is an exodus of people, a time that many foreigners fly off to quieter climates and calmer environments.
I have a few things to focus on so part holiday and work is the theme i am addressing

Shopping Malls

Are fill to the Brim with Browsers and Buyers, this is when the retailers are laughing and rubbing their eager hands together in total glee with visions of huge profits and a killing financially.

The Early Bird Gets the WormChinese Art and crafts for travelers

Realizing this was going to be a tricky time, was eager to get out the apartment earlier today in preparation to be sitting comfortably in a coffee bar writing this Article.
Observing the mele’ of people and incidents is enough to create a smirk on my face and surprised looks of passerby’s curious to see what i am writing on the computer, their curiosity is so overwhelming that they actual stop behind me and between then glass partition window stand and without embarrassment try to work out my purpose here!

Curiosity And Friendly DispositionSpecial Chinese shop offers

Kids are the true magic of that humor, as they attempt to attract my attentions with silly actions and faces even offer me their ice-cream in a playful behavior. Or put faces on the glass in caricature- like poses.

7-Day Official Holiday

China's 70th Anevrsity
This National  70th PRC Anniversary holiday entitles everyone to 7 days from work, the feeling of excitement is so tangible you can cut it with a knife! And if more than any time faces look relaxed poised to interact or be sociable than any time i can remember.

THE UNEXPECTED

Going to the Library earlier i was amazed to see many teenagers and young adults all hunched over their work and seriously engaged in completing it quickly. Perhaps as it is the first day of the holiday they have to clear up projects prior to settling down to enjoying the festivities.
The Traditional Holiday period where long distance family member’s living in big cities and working, return to the home towns and enjoy the long separation they endure from holiday to holiday visits

Flare-ups in Hong Kong

Over the border to Hong Kong I have heard that troubles still flare up randomly, However that is far Removed from most Chinese minds in main land at this time i imagine.

CONCLUSION

This seems to be accepted as a norm though many say they would prefer to be in hometown more often than once per year perhaps as all roots are there and memories of calmer times university romantic earlier days. In the main most of these distant family workers don’t return permanently as it ties them to the workplace, location in the cities. National Holiday 70th PRC Anniversary however is excitingly special and will take pole position in Chinese minds, so it will be a must to get home and share in family discussions and updates more than ever
The wages as expected are much higher, Also prospects are good in the emerging and developing cities.

Happy Holidays From China

Why Moon Festival Is Celebrated

In history, Moon Festival was always celebrated during harvest time. Chinese ruling Emperors worshiped the moon in autumn mainly to give thanks for their good harvest. However, ordinary people made the Mid-Autumn Festival as a celebration of their hard work and rewards in the harvest. This has taken on a different aspect and Nowadays, people mainly celebrate the Moon Festival as a time for family reunions.
